Normally, using Lynda.com requires a paid subscription, but as a Napoleon Public Library cardholder you can access Lynda.com content from any computer with an internet connection simply by entering your library card number and 4 digit PIN.
Please note that you can only access course content through Napoleon Public Library's login page, and not directly visiting the Lynda.com homepage.
Need a library card?
Stop by your nearest NPL location in Napoleon, Florida, or McClure with a photo ID with current address. If you do not have an ID with current address, also bring a piece of mail with the address. If you already have an account but need a new card, bring your ID to get a free replacement card during the month of September. All accounts are set up with a PIN. If you cannot remember your PIN, please stop by the library with your card or email email@example.com.
After creating a Lynda.com account (which only requires your name and e-mail address), you can watch videos, create playlists, bookmark pages, and obtain Certificates of Completion (that can be uploaded to your LinkedIn profile). Many courses also feature exercise files, so that if you're watching a tutorial about Microsoft Excel you can follow the activity with downloadable, pre-populated Excel spreadsheet files.
