Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All programs are available while supplies last. Meet Rapunzel and Spidey at our kick off event! Get your face or hands painted, register and pick up reading logs, and more! This event will be held indoors, space may be limited. Face painting and photo ops with our guests may be limited. June Programs: ~ Children’s Storytimes: Storytimes include fun, interactive stories, songs, and rhymes. They are followed by craft sessions or Toddler Time, an independent and group play session for children to move their bodies and practice fine motor skills with a variety of toddler friendly activities. ~ Father’s Day 3D Rocket card: Looking for a Father's Day craft? We’ve got you covered — join us in making a customizable and handmade card that will make a great gift for dad or grandpa! ~ Glow in the Dark Firefly: Fireflies are the hallmark of summer! Join us in making this fun glow in the dark craft. ~ Maker Days: Join us on Wednesday June 4 and June 18 for Maker Day! Stop by the youth department between 9:30–11:30 AM or 2:30–5:30 PM to make our craft of the week. This month, we are making tissue paper rainbow fish and dot paintings. ~ Midweek Movie: Join us on Wednesday June 11 and June 25 for our Midweek Movie! Movies will start at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on listed movie days. Patrons of all ages are welcome to attend and stay for any length of the movie desired. ~ Take It Tuesdays: New craft kits available every Tuesday! Crafts can be completed during your visit to the library or the kits can be taken and completed at home. ~ Teen Bracket Minecraft Tournament: Register for our tournament and compete against other builders! The competition will occur throughout the summer and a winner will be selected at the final championship round on the last day of the summer reading program. ~ Teen Dungeons & Dragons: Teens 15-18 years old are welcome to join us for D&D in the Teen Room. New players are welcome to join either group - Alpha group is for those who have played before and would like to take the game seriously, Bravo group is for players with little to no experience and is about having fun learning how the game works. ~ 3D Rainbow craft: Join us in creating a unique piece of rainbow art using bright colors, 3D shapes, and textures, and more! *programs listed in alphabetical order, NOT chronologically*

Stop by the youth department between 9:30–11:30 AM or 2:30–5:30 PM to make our craft of the week. This month, we are making CD suncatchers with gems and faux stained glass bookmarks. ~ Midweek Movie: Join us on Wednesday July 16 and July 30 for our Midweek Movie! Movies will start at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on listed movie days. Patrons of all ages are welcome to attend and stay for any length of the movie desired. ~ Roll a Rainbow Play-Doh game: Practice fine motor skills by rolling out various color strips to build a rainbow! We will be discussing The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians by James Patterson. Book club will resume in September. ~ Cookbook Club: Join us for our new cookbook club and discover new easy and budget-friendly recipes that you can share with the whole family! Each meeting will be a potluck style, bring a dish if you are able to. We will enjoy delicious food and discuss recipes from the club’s chosen cookbook. ~ Game On: Join us for Game On, a program perfect for anyone who wants to learn about and try new board, card, and dice games! ~ Handicraft Arts: Join us for companionship, work on your current projects, or learn a new hobby at Handicraft Arts! For any who knit, crochet, cross-stitch, needle, etc. ~ Jewelry Art: We are upcycling costume jewelry into something new! Make picture frames, new jewelry, or mosaics. Have a special piece you want to use? Feel free to bring it in to add to your project! ~ Puzzle Exchange: Calling all puzzlers! Come and trade puzzles with other puzzle enthusiasts! Puzzle must be appropriate and in good condition with all pieces. Read samples of books from our wide selection, and pick your favorite to borrow. Snacks from each country will be available. ~ “Colors and Clay” Exhibit by Soaring Arts: Join us June 2 from 2:304:00 PM for the “Colors and Clay” open house! Artists from Soaring Arts will be available to talk about their pottery displays and give art tutorials. Light refreshments will be available during the open house. The Soaring Arts display with be available for viewing during the month of June. ~ Thursday Morning Book Club: Join us for Thursday Morning book club! In June, we will be discussing The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Gailbrath. July’s featured book is The Lemon Tree by Sandy Tolan. FAMILY CRAFT HOUR Crafters of all types, ages, and levels of expertise are welcome to join us! Special Craft Hours will be  June 21 — Geodes: We will break open geodes to see what’s inside!  July 19 — Squeegee Art: We will be using paint so make sure you wear your paint clothes!  August 23 — Visible Mending: We will decorate clothes with visible mending! Bring items of clothing that need mending or you would like to embellish. YOUTH PROGRAMS ~ Children’s Storytime: Join us in-person on Thursdays at 2:00 PM for Children’s Storytime! Storytime is geared towards birth through 3rd grade, but all ages are welcome with an adult. ~ Paint Tracks: Join us for paint tracks! We are making art with tracks from toy cars and other fun objects instead of paint brushes! Make sure you wear your paint clothes! ~ Photo Scavenger Hunt: Use clues to find books around the library! ~ Reimagined Book Covers: Join us for reimagined book covers, and create the cover you always imagined for your favorite book! ~ Tissue Box Monsters: Let your creativity run wild with this fun project! We will use a tissue box and other craft supplies to make unique funny (or scary!) monsters. ADULT PROGRAMS ~ Chit Chat & Crochet: Gather with the group to work on your projects or learn to crochet! With a need for a public community space, private study rooms, and more room for programming, the Foundation Board would like to focus initial fund-raising efforts to renovate the Carnegie Library to once again be used and enjoyed by the community. The Foundation will also use funds to support literacy, programs, technology, circulation materials, and building needs for all three library locations. If you wish to make a tax-deductible donation, contact any of our three branches for details.
